Domestic life

Archaeological research indicates that no domestic activities were performed at the Huaca de la Luna, which was exclusively a temple for ceremonies.

The elite population settled in the esplanade located between the Huaca del Sol and the Huaca de la Luna. Their activities were related to the services for the Huaca de la Luna (priests, potters, metalworkers and other craftsmen who produced objects for the rituals lived here).

Townspeople lived around the Huaca de la Luna and did not enter the temple.
