de la Luna Visitors Center
Since 1997 the Project has a Visitors Center, built with the support
of the Backus Foundation, so the tourist could rest before or after
visiting the archaeological monument.
 This Visitors Center includes the following services:
- Cafeteria
- Video room
- Souvenir store
- Craftsmen market
- Public payphone
- Parking area
- Restrooms (for the handicapped as well)
- Management office.
Visiting tourists are also invited to enjoy the exquisite food
offered by the gastronomical fairs and family restaurants in the
Moche countryside and the restaurants in Moche.

These rates include all the services at the Visitors Center: guided tour in English
or French, and video projection. Teachers visiting Huaca de la Luna with their
students are free of entrance fee.
The income generated by the Project from tourists’ visits
is used in the maintenance of the archaeological monument.
